General ( Please note, The Lodge is closed for a refurb from 14 to 28 March 2017 )

Lions Valley is made of 10 free standing individually themed thatched rooms. Actually, these are not so much rooms as roooooms! There is plenty of space inside these uniquely decorated homes in the Bush.
The rooms have twin free standing baths, inside and outside showers. The rooms have been built to be naturally cool so as to avoid the need and the noise of air conditioners. There is spacious and comfortable lounge area with a fireplace for the colder evenings!
Themes include The Africa Suite, The Bird Suite, The Livingstone Suite, The Ndebele Suite, The Nguni Suite, The Romance suite ( African Fertility symbols feature in here ), The Savannah Suite, The Safari Suite, The Spaza Suite and the Zebra Suite.

The Main Lodge area is also thatched with the roof being held up by natural tree trunks. when you walk through the reception area the magnificent views across the valley easily distract you from your ultimate destination which is to get a drink from the bar and enjoy the scenes from around the waterhole below.
If the drink doesn't cool you down enough on a hot summers day there is also a rim flow swimming pool for you to enjoy.

The Lodge
Lions Valley is not a fenced lodge which is why they do not allow children under 8 at the lodge.

The Lodge is located at the centre of the reserve while most of the others are located in the North or the South. This means that you are a much shorter driving distance from any great sightings which may be have been reported and also means you don't travel the same roads to get to certain parts of the reserve over and over again.

Arrival
Pick up time for guests from the guest parking area is at 2pm.
On arrival at Nambiti Memorial Gate and after filling in your arrival form you will be directed to the parking area where your Lions Valley Lodge Guide will come and fetch you. You are entering a big 5 Game reserve, please drive carefully and be responsible if you come across any sightings on your way to the parking.
You will be transported by Game Viewer by your Game Ranger to the Lodge.
